How to Make Direct Mail Work for You!

I know this topic is going to sound self-serving. Of course, a printing company is going to promote that direct mail marketing isn’t dead right? Direct mail is a bit of a mystery to many. Most people are afraid of Direct mail for these reasons:

  1. What if no one calls?
  2. What could I have spent that money on better?
  3. I can’t handle too many more sessions. What if I get overwhelmed?
  4. I don’t want to be seen as a discounter.
  5. I can’t afford it.
  6. Social media marketing is more effective.

I caution you if you’ve had one or more of these opinions – logic will kill you in marketing. Do a little homework. You still might conclude that direct mail isn’t for you but at least you’re making an educated decision about it. Don’t let it be a missed opportunity. 

There are positive signs to consider that make direct mail worth looking into. While session numbers in general tend to be lower than in the past, the sales averages are higher than they’ve ever been. That means you only need a couple of sessions to make your direct mail investment pay off.

But is Direct Mail right for you? Most people don’t invest in something they don’t know anything about. Many automatically assume direct mail is too expensive and therefore never give it a chance.
