The UH-60J was chosen as a replacement for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force's Sikorsky S-62s and KV-107s in 1988. T700-IHI-701A engines provide plentiful power. Many UH-60Js feature fuel tanks which can be attached to pylons. Refueling probes were added in 2006. The J.A.S.D.F. now operates 31 UH-60Js in all. This limited edition kit features new radome, sensor and side window parts; photo-etched antenna parts. Highly detailed model kit includes waterslide decals and illustrated instructions. Decal options included: J.A.S.D.F. Air Rescue Wing, Code: 582; J.A.S.D.F. Air Rescue Wing, Code: 587; and J.A.S.D.F. Air Rescue Wing, Code: 585. Paint colors needed: Silver, Navy Blue, Flat Black, Clear Red, Clear Blue, Flesh, Khaki Green, Burnt Iron, Medium Blue, Tire Black, FS36320 Gray, and FS36231 Gray.
- This plastic model kit requires plastic cement and paint for assembly, and they are sold separately. The photo-etched/metal parts require super glue and paint for assembly, and they are sold separately.
