Having Faith in Your Journey

I know this is a little off-track from the usual posts I share here at Marathon, but I read this just before New Year’s, and it so hit home. It’s a new year, but so often we carry over bad experiences and bad habits. We never really start with a clean slate, mostly because we don’t let go of too many issues from the past.

The journey of a year is drawing to a close. Cherish the moments, all of them, even the ups and downs. Cherish the places you’ve visited, and the people you’ve seen. Say goodbye to those whose journeys have called them someplace else. Know you can always call them back by thinking loving thoughts. Know all those you love will be there for you when you need them most. Honor the lessons you’ve learned, and the people who helped you learn them. Honor the journey your soul mapped out for you. Trust all the places you’ve been. Make a scrapbook in your heart to help you remember. – Melody Beattie

The calendar has been reset and with IUSA coming up this month, 2023 promises to be one of those years where the sky is the limit. There’s a renewed sense of family, business owners have greater reach through social media, and there’s no cap on creativity!

So, what are you doing to make this year stronger than last? How’s your skill set? Where do you need help in raising the bar on the quality of your images…marketing…networking? What’s your reputation in the community?

These are just the start of things to think about – but January is the time to lay out your plans and start to implement those new ideas! And nobody does it better at helping you plan out your marketing activity for the year than Marathon. If you’re headed to IUSA, make it a point to visit booth 311 – you won’t be disappointed.

See you in Nashville!
