The Gift Only You Can Give

Assuming that your clients and prospects are as stressed as most people are when the holiday gift-giving season rolls around, here’s a way that you can become a hero by helping them check off many friends and family on their holiday gift list:

Simply promote to consumers that “Portraits are the Perfect Gift for the Holiday Season.” Do it NOW because it’s not too early to get them thinking about portraits for gift-giving. A great attention-getting slogan is this: “If They Can’t Remember What Gift You Gave Them Last Holiday Season, Then it Wasn’t a Portrait from Smith Studio.”

Family and children’s portraiture will be especially appealing during this season, so illustrate your direct mail, email, social media, and display marketing with these types of portraits. Create a call to action by stressing that “sessions are limited,” and use an appealing offer such as “With the purchase of a decorative wall portrait or wall portrait package, receive a free gift-size image for each child in the portrait or two free gift-size images for grandparents or other family members.”

Run the promotion by itself for several weeks or link it to last week’s “Show You Care With a Teddy Bear” campaign.
