How to Tap into the Power of Referrals

Everyone agrees that referrals are our strongest marketing tool. This time of year you want to make sure you’re asking for a referral from every customer you deal with.

The ideal time to do that is right after the sales are finished as the excitement is high. Simply say –

“Our business has been built on the referral of others and we’d appreciate it if you’d recommend us to your family and friends. Here are a few cards you can hand out and as a way of saying thank you we will pay you $100 credit for every referral that comes to us and places an order”

It doesn’t have to be anything more complicated than that. Just have some printed pieces for them to take to hand out. Some people do something as simple as a business card and others do something with a unique shape or more complex with a fold or insert.

No matter what you decide, implement this with every sales session you do. And if you’re wondering what to put on the Referral Card? You could say –

Thanks for supporting our small business!

Tell a friend about us and they’ll receive a complimentary session!
